TERMS & CONDITIONS

We appraise each item prior to listing it for sale. If the pictures on the website are not satisfactory, please contact us prior to making your purchase and we shall send detailed pictures of the item/s you are interested in.

We do our best to appraise each item for; condition; our estimate of the items age and value all prior to listing.   Please take into consideration that the items we sell are old and were used, they can be anything up to 100 years old and sometimes older.  Therefore, please be aware that these items will have a certain degree of wear and tear commensurate with their age and function.  The items on sale are not modern reproductions( unless stated as such), but old, vintage items.
 
 
SIZES:
Are measured in centimetres/ inches and are approximate measurements.  Actual measurements may differ slightly

RESERVING AN ITEM

We are happy to reserve an item for 24 hours.  Also, when you choose to purchase an item, it will be reserved until payment has been received.  

RETURNS

We make every effort to describe items to the best of our ability.  We would encourage potential buyers to ask for more information prior to purchase so that they are able to make an informed decision.

We make every effort to describe items accurately. We do not accept returns unless there are clear errors in the descriptions.  Sales are final and we do not sell items for “approval”.  In the event of an item being returned for the above reason, the buyer is responsible for postage costs and must insure the item.  Should the item arrive in a damaged state (i.e. not in the condition it was sold in), it is the buyer’s responsibility to claim with the postal service and we are not responsible for items damamged whilst they are in the postal/ courier system.

POST & PACKING

Postage for items is excluded from the item’s advertised price.  Buyers will be given a total price including postage costs and postage options.  We always endeavor to pack items to ensure a safe journey.

Please be aware that postage of “breakables” i.e.: ceramics and class and even spelter is not insurable via on items going to the USA via standard postal services (this may apply to other countries also).  We always prefer to use a registered or signed-for service with insurance. We cannot be held responsible if items are not signed for or accepted buy the purchaser nor can we be held responsible for items being 'tampered with' or the removal of items from their packaging whilst in the postal system. Whilst we endeavour to pack items to the best of our ability, we stronlgy suggest that buyers' select the appropriate- rather than the cheapest- method of transporting goods ie: by specialist courier for larger items which need sensitive handling.

ELECTRICAL ITEMS

We recommend that all electrical items purchased from our site are thoroughly checked by a qualified electrician prior to use.  The electrical items we stock may contain old electrical fittings from Europe and /or the USA.  Therefore we will sell the items without plugs.

Please make sure electrical items are tested and meet your country's safety standards prior to use.
