“Lighter Than Air” stunning Lorenzl spelter figure

A great figure and a rare one too! This is a take on a popular figure with the dancer holding aloft a large bubble.  Normally made as lamps this figure holds aloft a turquoise/blue glass globe.  She is a very rare figure which is often attributed to Josef Lorenzl- like many Lorenzl spelter figures she is frustratingly unsigned, yet she oozes quality.  She stands on a very unusual stepped marble base and she retains much if her original gilded patina. 

The detail and weight could easily lead one to mistake this figure for bronze, it is a fine piece and a very unusual subject.
