Josef Lorenzl produced many of the finest Art Deco statues and, being Austrian, it was inevitable that he would turn to his own country folk to produce this great Art Deco striker. Like many of his spelter statues, this example is unsigned, but bears all the hallmarks of Lorenzl's work.

This lovely Alpine boy is wearing full Austrian national costume.  He is beautifullly detailed and the cold painting is still very vibrant. He is a rare figure and the actual striker wand is cleverly concealed in his shorts to appear like a smalll walking stick.
