Only in the late 19th Century could these fantastic wall sconces have been made.  They are modelled as griffins with a curios mix of bat wings, dolphin heads.  They encompass similar motif which appear on William De Morgan tiles, Martin Brothers pottery and even have elements of Dr Christopher Dresser. 

If you do not want the upheaveal of channelling electric cables, these candle holder will give your walls a period charm that will make your room a talking point.
