Wow! If you are looking for a top class statement piece. Stop! You have found it.  Not only is this a superb piece of early 20th Century sculpture, it is also by Georges Van De Voorde- one of Belgium's premier sculptors who was resposible for many public sculptures as well as being a respected exhibitor and teacher of sculpture.

This is a rare delight.  Van De Voorde is perhaps best know for his Art Deco dancing ladies, but this is in a league of its own.

The vase takes the form of an enchanted forest where the trees have faces and cherubic nymphs are playing amongst them, it turns a potentially eerie design into a stunning and playful piece of sculpture.

It is made from heavy guauge spelter which has been silvered and it is signed. Simply breathtaking.
