Thedr super-cute book ends are a rare find.  Frecourt specialised in Art Deco animal sculpture.  They were sold as either freestanding sculptures or as pairs for bookends.

This is the first time ever I have seen these as a pair on stepped marble bases and also with marble cheese.  They are so cute and they are in amazing condition.

Of course you don't have to use them as bookends, they would be great on a mantlepiece.

They are each signed Frecourt and only recently as single version without cheese and marble base was auctioned with an estimate of £300-£500- for just one!
