I love this vase, it just oozes Art Nouveau quality. It's a stunning piece and was purchased in Vienna.  It is signed Geschutzt- which I think relates to the foundry rather than the artist.  It just screams Art Nouveau and the only other pieces I have seen are in the Art Nouveau reference books.

Leaping out of the vase is a mermaid figure, she has one leg showing and under the waves is a mermaids tail.  It is so dramatic and all this is set amongst a rippling sea effect.  What is most amazing about this is that it is cast from bronze in the Vienna arsenal cireca 1900-1910.  It is a stunning piece and the patina is totally original.

I love this piece and it is an incredible opportunity to purchase a really superb piece.

Condition: Excellent, there is a mould join to her leg, but this is part of the manufacture and not a fault
