This is a figure which really needs to be seen to be appreciated.  She is a Flamenco dancer and she is stunning.  Every detail from her tassled shawl to the poppy flower and her hoop earrings is perfectly captured.

She is possibly Austrian or German and is of the quality you'd expect from these countries. They were the premier producers of bronze and spelter figures form such great names as Lorenzl, Bruno Zach, Preiss and Poertzel to name but a few.

I have seen this figure attributed to Josef Lorenzl and like most of his spelter figures it is unsigned.  All I can say is that it is a great piece of Art Deco sculpture.
