Art Deco Naked Spelter/Bronze Lady Lamp -Lorenzl

One of the best and rarest examples
of figural lighting I've seen. Spelter lamps of this quality are few and far between and
she makes a stunning Art Deco statement.
I
have never seen this particular version before, she is totally naked
except for a small silk wrap around her waist. She has a very slender
body and windswept hair, which is typical of the work of Josef Lorenzl-
one of the premier designers of Art Deco statues. Whilst this example
is unsigned (as most are) I have seen many variants of this lamp
attributed to this great master sculptor.
Even
the smallerst details including her little fingers are intact and shows
signs of very careful ownership in her 80 years. She hold in one hand
the original globe shade which is Czech marbled glass. It looks great
on or off and these shades are a rarity in themselves.
This lamp is something of an Art Deco icon and is a great way to add some dramatic sculptural lighting to your interior.
Condition: Excellent- it has original wiring and the marble is perfect with no chips or cracks
Size: Approx 53 cms tall
