What a cute bronze.  This is a very sentimental piece by the master of bronze - Prof. Otto Poertzel.  He was a sculptor of great skill and standing- he has designed some of the Art Deco period's most iconic pieces as well military plaques and commissions for royalty.

The statue depicts a  small boy holding a love letter sealed with a heart.  He has very doleful eyes and this is a very rare statue from this sculptor.  Although unsigned, this piece has all the hallmark traits of Poertzel.  It is also a good size to display.

Condition: Very good, some minor wear to the patina commensurate with age.
