I went to great lengths to get this stunning piece.  When you look at the detail you'll see why.  Bat Dancers or those styled on Niddy Impekoven's capatured bird dance have influenced Art Deco sculptors, althought bronze examples are very scarce.

This piece is by an Austrian artist Barner - a contemporary of Lorenzl, although little is know about him. The detail and patination is excellent.  Her wings are decorated with a stylised spider's web design. 

She is mounted on a black marble and onyx oval and is fully signed - BARNER AUSTRIA - to the socle.
