Search: Customer Login Rare Art Deco Angel Fish Bronze Group - G. Lavroff - SOLD

What a rarity! Geroge Lavroff was a Russian born sculptor who made many fine Art Deco statues in France - especially animal studies - before returning to his native Russia in 1935. His realitvely short period as a true Deco sculptor could be why his work is so eagerly collected and fetches some of the highest prices for Art Deco bronze animals.
This - unsigned but certainly by Lavroff - group of angel fish swimming in unison are a great example of his skill. They are a really impressive piece of Art Deco sculpture. They have great shape and a wonderful green patina, which contrasts nicely with the black marble angular base.
It would make a great Art Deco statement if placed in a bathroom, Please email for more images.
Size: Approximately 38 cms tall, 38 cms wide
Condition: Overall condition is very good, some small chips to the marble (mainly to rear). I am not sure if this is intentional, but the top of the fin to the taller fish curles forward - just mentioned for accuracy, though this could be part of the design and done at time of production.
