This is a stunning Bronze with tremendous detail. He is patinated with a lovely green patination and he has all the markings to the rear - an unusual treat with Vienna bronzes as so many are unmarked.
This figure is signed by Charles Brehmer and carries the artist's monogram too as well as being marked Austria. I was lucky enough to purchase this from a very well respected gallery in Austria and I estimate that this was made for the 1937 Olympics as the quality is so high and there is evidence of a presentation plaque having once been to the rear of the statue.
As you'd expect with a bronze from Vienna, the detail is amazing for its size. A really decorative bronze for a very fair price!
