The pictures do not do this fabulous Art Deco Bronze figure justice - I can hardly bear to part with her!  This figure is a hard to find example by M.A Bouraine made from bronze and sits upon a beautiful base of ultra rare Portorro marble.  This  most beautiful marble is very hard to find today and is probably expensive in its own right. 

To accompany this stunning statue is supporting documentation showing an identical figure in a French advertisement from the Arthur Goldscheider foundry in 1921.

She carries  a gilded bronze hoop, which I presume is the original - so many of these get lost but this is genuine.  It contrasts beautifully with the deep chestnut patination of the bronze.  It is signed A. Bouraine to the base and condition is excellent.  A similar example can be viewed in the Art Deco Figures book by Bryan Catley.
