A really unusual and very beautiful Art Deco dancing lady in a striking pose! I believe she was made in Vienna, Austria as there is a similar model in Bronze by F.W Bergman. As you would expect from an Austrian Deco statue, the attention to detail is excellent .
She strikes a pose often seen in risque postcards of the same period. She is made from a silvered spelter and I have never seen another in such a daring pose! She is mounted on a very unusual marble slabbed base, the marble is a very unusual turquoise and cream marble.
Condition: Very good - some wear to the silvering at her midriff and tips of fingers. There is a visible join to her waist which is not damage but a part of the figure's construction. A rare piece!
