Yes, this fabulous lady is over 90 years old! She has all the elegance and grace of modern sculpture, but she was no doubt modelled on the exotic dancers of the time. She stands on her original wooden base.

She looks like a very heavily patinated bronze, but she is spelter with perhaps one of the best bronze patinas you will see.  She is fully signed and dated; F. P Zimmer 1920, Stutt.  I canoot find any more work by this sculptor, but there is no doubting their talent as she looks ahead of of her time and is more in line with the Vienna Hagenauer workshops. 

She is a huge statue with a lot of presence and period drama.
