I love this piece, it makes such a change from the normal subject matter and- despite it being over 80 years' old- it looks surprisingly modern.  Perhaps that's why Hagenauer pieces are so expensive today. 

It is made from silvered bronze and the panther has a lovely tooled finish which is then blackened and this makes a nice contrast. 

It is marked made in Austria but sadly not Hagenauer although many pieces  often carry only this 'MADE IN AUSTRIA' mark.

Condition: Excellent - a quality that needs to be seen to be appreciated
